Wedding Preparation

“Dance With Me!” has processed over 600 bridal
couples, up to 20 couples per 2-month group session. It’s
success is due to having a range of lessons, which cover all dance
music selections. “The Slow Dance” Class
is exclusive to “Dance With Me!” where instead of just modifying a
ballroom dance to fit the very specific tempo of Love Songs or Ballads,
we created a “dance” style that is romantic, sweet and sure to get the
best response from guests at the wedding reception. With
two basics, underarm turns, dips, cuddles, romantic lay backs and more,
the Slow Dance Class is a sure crowd pleaser. More
theatre arts than traditional Ballroom, this class is perfect for the
modern Bride and Grooms choice of more contemporary music for their
first dance. Of course the traditional
Waltz or Foxtrot is still a favorite. The wonderful Frank Sinatra love
songs and Harry Connic, Jr. Foxtrots then, offer Bridal couples have a
wide range of possibilities to choose from. But,
don’t stop there – we have worked with whole bridal parties, the Father
of the Bride and the Mother of The Groom with their dances as well.
Putting It Together:
A lot goes into the process of perfecting the presentation of the First
Dance. Usually, this can be done with only
one private lesson after learning the steps has been done either in
privates or group. We teach you a romantic
entrance, how long to be on the floor and then how to bring in the
Father-Daughter dance or any other dance issues. This
is critical to make a really professional presentation as well as
having the Bridal Couple comfortable about presenting themselves to
friends and family. The information we need
includes: Dress type, where guests are
seated, when to do your dance, how big the floor is and what is in the
room as far as table set up, etc. This
will help us know how to present the dance to your guests so that you
are visual to everyone and any photographer or videographer. We even
show you some poses for your photographer. We
also council you as to the best way to handle the Musical part of the
presentation. Then, you have a wonderful,
exciting and most importantly, a memorable “First Dance”.
It has been our experience thru feedback from our past Bridal Couples,
that it was well worth their time to invest in this part of the
reception. This is when, other than as you
take your vows, that you are the most visible to everyone at the
wedding, so it is important to take the time to make an investment in
this part of the wedding preparation.
